Difficulties in the lithium battery recycling industry

1. Technical challenges to be overcome: At present, there are technical difficulties in the cascade utilization of batteries in my country, such as recombination technology, discrete integration technology and life prediction technology. Different battery structures lead to difficulties in disassembly and pretreatment. It is difficult to extract a variety of cathode materials, and there will be structural damage after cycling, and it is difficult to restore its original structure and performance.

2. Imperfect industry norms: The relevant rules on power battery recycling have not been perfected, and the phenomenon of recycling in many small workshops still exists, and the development of the industry lacks supervision and standardization.

3. Lack of a mature business model: At present, economies of scale have not yet formed, and the cost of lithium battery recycling remains high. In addition, battery recycling involves consumers, vehicle companies, battery companies, downstream cascade utilization companies, and battery dismantling companies. Currently, there is no mature business model.
