UBC Decoating Equipment Ready for Shipment to Mexico

SUNYGROUP’s aluminum can carbonization and de-coating equipment has successfully passed all pre-shipment performance tests and quality inspections. The system is now ready for shipment to Mexico.

Used aluminum cans often have surfaces covered in organic paints, coatings, and oily residues. If fed directly into a furnace for smelting, these contaminants not only generate excessive aluminum dross—leading to metal loss rates as high as 5%–12%—but also produce harmful fumes.

This ubc decoating equipment utilizes advanced oxygen-free pyrolysis technology to carbonize and strip away the organic paint layers at high temperatures while preserving the core aluminum material intact under "zero-oxidation" conditions. Compared to traditional methods, this process significantly boosts smelting recovery rates by 2%–5%, delivering direct economic benefits to the customer.

To ensure the project's successful implementation, SUNYGROUP’s technical team will provide on-site installation guidance, system commissioning, and operator training upon the equipment's arrival at the customer's facility. This ensures the system enters production quickly, thereby creating commercial value for the client.
